Happy Deepavali 2008

HAPPY DIWALI 2008 !!!

Just came back from an Deepavali open house by my dad’s friend. Brought my D40 along and took a few shots here and there. Here’s 2 of my best shot.

Idiyappam (commonly known as putu mayam in Malaysia) with mutton curry and sambal prawn in the background. Yummylicious.

The host’s son. I seldom take portrait shot, coz I’m bad at it. But I’m very happy and satisfied with this shot. It was a candid shot and he happened to stick his finger to my lens the same time I pressed my shutter. After this shot, I’m starting to like portrait shooting. I must shoot more portrait shots next time. XD

Hairy Plant

Months ago I signed up for The Star-RAGE Photography workshop. That day wasn’t my lucky day. I brought my dSLR but left the battery at home. Luckily I had my Olympus Point & Shoot that day. Anyway, this was shot using the P&S camera. I did many silhoutte shots that day. This was one of it. No idea what’s those plant called. I called it “The Unidentified Hairy Plant”.

The Cicak That Pose

Took this close-up during my first ever photoshoot session at Kanching Waterfalls. This little fella didn’t run away when few of us were pointing our big cameras at it. Instead it “modelled” for us in a few different pose.

The Window, The Wing and The Sky

The view from my seat during my flight to Laos in January. That particular flight was AirAsia’s maiden flight to Laos, but Tony Fernandes was busy somewhere else and couldn’t be on the plane. Otherwise I could have got a photo of me together with him.
