My first scheduled post!!! LOL

I don’t know when will I be getting the internet connection back.
Since i’m “borrowing’ WIFI from someone in my housing neighbourhood, I shall quickly write a few scheduled post to at least keep my blog updated, at least once a week.

Another batch of photos from my try-out with my DIY product shoot set up.

All photos taken with my Nikon D40 + 50mm f1.8, with a flashgun fired from left & right during the long exposure to create a studio-style lighting.
Added vignette effect in Adobe Photoshop CS2.

I like these photos a lot, so nice can? Worth tiring my eyes out to manual focus.

More product-type photography coming up.

Last Saturday, I attended the Global Village of the recently concluded AIESEC 2009 International Congress.
Met with many people from all around the world, witnessing their cultural performances and tasting their local treats and titbits.

Tomorrow is Die The Day !!!

The day the first paper of my final examination starts.
The day that marks the beginning of the ending to my foundation year.
And also the starting day of an important week that my scholarship will depends on.

Did a series, but here’s sneak peek on one of them.

I got hooked up on Rubik’s cube about one month back, but hangat-hangat tahi ayam, it was collecting dust in a corner after playing with it for 2 weeks. One day I saw the cube again and somehow I have a feeling of doing a shoot for it. Hehe

Constructed my own DIY product shoot set-up.

Photo shot with Nikon D40 + 50mm, 10 secs @ f/16 and ISO 200, with an off-camera flash fired manually 3 times during the long exposure.

Cropped, sharpen, added saturation and glowing effect in Picasa 3.

That’s all for now.
Going to flip through my notes one more time, then jump into my bed for a good night sleep.
After that, Gambatte to myself tomorrow.

I missed the Annular Solar Eclipse!!! T^T Over here in Klang, it was damn cloudy from 4.30-5pm. Then it rained from 5pm onwards. Wah!!! :bangwall:

Just to remind everyone again. The annular solar eclipse will happen on the 26th of January 2008 (1st day of CNY), at about 4.30pm Msian time. Do wait until 5.50pm for the greatest eclipse to happen. Click these link to read more about it [The Star cut-out] & [Yahoo! News])

Finally fulfilled one of my wish, which was to get a 50mm prime lens.

My initial plan was to work as much as possible this year to earn enough for the new AF-S 50mm f/1.4G (to auto-focus with my D40). After some serious thinking, I’ve decided to get the AF 50mm f/1.8D since I plan to change SLR body in future (and it’s much more cheaper)

After some searching here and there, I’ve found a second-hand 2 months old lens from PhotoMalaysia.com. Some discussions with the seller and I’ve finally got my lens on Thursday (supposed to be on Wednesday, but I wasn’t at home when PosLaju came, so had to pick it up from post office).

HOPE

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009 to all Photo Hunters !!!

New year comes new hope.
Last year, my hope for 2009 was to have a car.
Finally, the car that I wish for arrived 2 days ago.
Such a wonderful start for the year & thank you very much to my parents for buying me that car.

Now, my new hope for the year, will be to maintain my academic results for this entire year.
My results for last semester was CGPA 3.94 out of 4.00.
And in order to maintain the standard, I shall now disappear for 3 days.
My semester exam will be starting next week, for 3 days. Wish me luck.

I would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas!

Last Sunday, I visited the National Zoo with fellow shouters Aaron, Daniel and PrettyPink.
It was my first visit to the National Zoo since…… I was a small little kid. It’s been quite a while.

I going to start my post about the zoo outing a little bit differently.
