My first scheduled post!!! LOL

I don’t know when will I be getting the internet connection back.
Since i’m “borrowing’ WIFI from someone in my housing neighbourhood, I shall quickly write a few scheduled post to at least keep my blog updated, at least once a week.

Another batch of photos from my try-out with my DIY product shoot set up.

All photos taken with my Nikon D40 + 50mm f1.8, with a flashgun fired from left & right during the long exposure to create a studio-style lighting.
Added vignette effect in Adobe Photoshop CS2.

I like these photos a lot, so nice can? Worth tiring my eyes out to manual focus.

Last Saturday, I attended the Global Village of the recently concluded AIESEC 2009 International Congress.
Met with many people from all around the world, witnessing their cultural performances and tasting their local treats and titbits.

Will blog about it soon.

This shot was taken during the recently concluded 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in my college, and the panning effect wasn’t done with Photoshop.

This was really an accidental shot that I got, albeit from hundreds of photos taken during that event.

It’s been a long long time since I’ve updated this place. Been really busy for the pass 2 months, much more busier than my previous ‘busy period’.

I’ve started my part time work with marketing department of college, and had earned quite some pocket money, enough for me to buy a DSLR backpack.
I’m also being selected to be an ambassador for PC.com-Hotlink college project and I’m so unlucky honoured to be elected as the President of the club we had formed.
S.H.A.R.E Club (Stamford-Hotlink Ambassadors of Recreation & Education) is the name.

The club logo that I had designed. Might need to change this totally if my committee doesn’t like it. >o<

The final examination for my foundation year is also around the corner. I’ve got to start my revision already, leaving me having to desert my blog again after this update. LOL
My scholarship for next year will depends very much on my CGPA for this year. Luckily though, my CGPA for the previous 2 semesters is about 3.94, leaving me with some space for small error. But, *fingers crossed* I hope to maintain my grade points.

FAVOURITE

Finally, I’m back in Saturday Photo Hunters, after an absent of more than 8 months. In case you forget about me, here is the URL of my old blog [http://alvin-chew.blogspot.com].

Basketball is was my favourite past time. I will normally go to the basketball court nearby my house whenever I am free in the evening, at least 4 times a week.

But since I’ve started my new college semester, my classes normally ends at 5.30pm. By the time i got back home, it’s almost 7pm, which the sky will turn dark any moment.

Now, I spend most of my free time in front of my computer, either surfing the internet or doing some work with my photographs. Strange thing is I didn’t gain any weight from the lack of exercise. LOL

Slowly, my interest in basketball decreases. But, basketball will always be my favourite past time.

Time to get my butt of the computer chair.

Went to One Utama to watched Transporter 3 with college mates yesterday afternoon. My rating = 8/10.
If there are more actions scene, my rating will definitely be higher.

Here’s 2 photos taken during my lunch break. I have 2 hours lunch break everyday. So the best place to spend time is in the student lounge, where there is a pool table. RM3 for an hour, but we normally play longer than that. XD
