My first scheduled post!!! LOL

I don’t know when will I be getting the internet connection back.
Since i’m “borrowing’ WIFI from someone in my housing neighbourhood, I shall quickly write a few scheduled post to at least keep my blog updated, at least once a week.

Another batch of photos from my try-out with my DIY product shoot set up.

All photos taken with my Nikon D40 + 50mm f1.8, with a flashgun fired from left & right during the long exposure to create a studio-style lighting.
Added vignette effect in Adobe Photoshop CS2.

I like these photos a lot, so nice can? Worth tiring my eyes out to manual focus.

More product-type photography coming up.

Last Saturday, I attended the Global Village of the recently concluded AIESEC 2009 International Congress.
Met with many people from all around the world, witnessing their cultural performances and tasting their local treats and titbits.

Will blog about it soon.

Heavy workload is burdening me. A few projects are now my resposibility.

Posters designing, proposals writing, photos uploading etc. The dateline for everything is so near. It’s killing me slowly.

I wonder how am I gonna survive if I enter the real working world in future. >o<

Shot this on the highway during my trip back from Pahang. It’s a long distance, so I had my camera with me, shooting non-stop at the clouds, the skies and the cars. Then I had this photo, with all 3 elements I mentioned just now.

Edited the curves in LAB colour.

A tiring week it was.

Had my final paper on Tuesday and was studying very hard for this particular subject because it was the toughest one.

Then went to 4 secondary schools in 3 days for education fair and career talk.
1 in Kepong & 3 in Negeri Sembilan and had to wake at 5.30 am for the Negeri Sembilan trip.

However, it’s an eye opening one, as I’ve never been to Bahau and Rantau district of Negeri Sembilan (not to forgot, I’m earning some pocket money too. XD)

Anyway, this is just another random update.
I have been surfing and reading websites that teach vintage style photoshop effects, but never really try it out.
So, my first try on this effect.

Photo was shot during my trip to Pahang, when I went to visit my sister at her PLKN camp.

Photo shot with Nikon D40 + 50mm, 1/800 secs @ f/1.8 and ISO 200.

Cropped, sharpen, added vintage and sepia effect.

Tomorrow is Die The Day !!!

The day the first paper of my final examination starts.
The day that marks the beginning of the ending to my foundation year.
And also the starting day of an important week that my scholarship will depends on.

I got hooked up on Rubik’s cube about one month back, but hangat-hangat tahi ayam, it was collecting dust in a corner after playing with it for 2 weeks. One day I saw the cube again and somehow I have a feeling of doing a shoot for it. Hehe

Constructed my own DIY product shoot set-up.

Photo shot with Nikon D40 + 50mm, 10 secs @ f/16 and ISO 200, with an off-camera flash fired manually 3 times during the long exposure.

Cropped, sharpen, added saturation and glowing effect in Picasa 3.

That’s all for now.
Going to flip through my notes one more time, then jump into my bed for a good night sleep.
After that, Gambatte to myself tomorrow.

1) Work at NAPEI Education Fair 2009 in MidValley on the 14-15 of March. RM5 per hour, for 16 hours. Better than nothing.

I missed the Annular Solar Eclipse!!! T^T Over here in Klang, it was damn cloudy from 4.30-5pm. Then it rained from 5pm onwards. Wah!!! :bangwall:

Finally fulfilled one of my wish, which was to get a 50mm prime lens.

My initial plan was to work as much as possible this year to earn enough for the new AF-S 50mm f/1.4G (to auto-focus with my D40). After some serious thinking, I’ve decided to get the AF 50mm f/1.8D since I plan to change SLR body in future (and it’s much more cheaper)

After some searching here and there, I’ve found a second-hand 2 months old lens from PhotoMalaysia.com. Some discussions with the seller and I’ve finally got my lens on Thursday (supposed to be on Wednesday, but I wasn’t at home when PosLaju came, so had to pick it up from post office).
