Celebrated Aaron’s bday with Satkuru, William, Steven & Jane last Sunday (6 September 09).
Don’t know why, but the whole day we were doing sports related activities.
And we travelled to a few places just to do a little bit of stuffs at every location.

In the morning, they came down to Klang to have Bah Kut Teh for brunch. 6 people in 5 cars!!! O_O
So after brunch, William, Aaron and Jane parked their car at a free & safe car park, 6 of us travelled to Taman Pertanian Bukit Cahaya at Shah Alam in Satkuru’s and my car.

Each rented a bicycle and off we went, flexing our leg muscles, pedalling through the up and down terrains of the park.
Most of us couldn’t even last 3 uphill slopes and there we were seen pushing our respective bikes.

The worst part is, we went to the wrong cycling route.
There’s 2 directions to go after coming out from the bike workshop.
One is circling around the agricultural farm and animal park, leading back to the bike shop,
while the other was mostly dead ends at the end of the cycling path.
And it was obvious that we had taken the latter route. T^T
There goes all of our Bah Kut Teh, metabolized and turned into CO2, feeding the trees in the green green forest.

After cycling, we went to the Go-Kart circuit located next to Shah Alam Stadium for a few rounds of Vrooom-ing and Screeech-ing.
RM35 for just about 10mins of driving. This definitely burnt a small hole in my wallet.
Nevertheless, it was an amazing ride, since I last got onto a go-kart about 4 years ago.

Then, we shot back to Klang and everyone drove their own car to Aeon Bukit Tinggi.
Guess what we did there?
Don’t be shock and speecless ya?
5 cars went to that shopping mall, each paying RM2 parking ticket just to sit down in Kim Gary’s Restaurant and each ordered a glass of drink (Steven, William & Jane did order toasts though).

Then we proceeded to the next place, Sunway Pyramid (stopping at my house on the way, because no need so many cars XD) and went to the lanes for 2 rounds of bowling game.

All these activities had burnt big holes in our wallets, so for dinner, we decided to just have something economical in Subang, where else if not at Asia Cafe (because there’s FTZ.net beside it HAHA).
That’s when Jane parted ways.
After some Call of Duty 5 and Left 4 Dead games, we ended our day at 11.30pm andwent back home to bandage our wallets.

I don’t know when will I be getting the internet connection back.
Since i’m “borrowing’ WIFI from someone in my housing neighbourhood, I shall quickly write a few scheduled post to at least keep my blog updated, at least once a week.

Another batch of photos from my try-out with my DIY product shoot set up.

All photos taken with my Nikon D40 + 50mm f1.8, with a flashgun fired from left & right during the long exposure to create a studio-style lighting.
Added vignette effect in Adobe Photoshop CS2.

I like these photos a lot, so nice can? Worth tiring my eyes out to manual focus.

Last Saturday, I attended the Global Village of the recently concluded AIESEC 2009 International Congress.
Met with many people from all around the world, witnessing their cultural performances and tasting their local treats and titbits.

Sorry for being  2 weeks late in updating about my own birthday, but I’m here to announce that:
“I”M NOW OFFICIALLY ELIGIBLE TO VOTE FOR THE OPPOSITION IN THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION!!!”

How did I celebrate my 21st birthday? Nothing special.
No party, no cake and no presents.
Just a simple dinner with my family and cousin in a Korean BBQ Restaurant.
In fact, I only cut my cake and make my wish the day after my birthday.

However, my 21st birthday will be a very memorable one for me.
How come?

That morning itself was the Stamford College Annual Sports Carnival 2009.
I have got 2 medals!!!
Finally!!!
One bronze medal for volleyball team event and one silver for badminton team event (I was just a reserved player though XD).
I couldn’t get past the group stage in basketball, or else I will have another medal to be proud of.
These are my 1st medals in sporting events since…… Kindergarten =.=||| (I got a gold in running).

I was also the MC during the Sports Carnival (albeit a last minute appointment, as the usual MC couldn’t make it).
Acknowledgment of my abilities and strengths by the college makes my day more wonderful.

And just recently, I got my foundation year results back.
CGPA of 3.89!!! WHOA!!!
Never could I expected to score so high (okay, it’s just foundation year, no big deal XD).

Now, you could see how happy I was on my 21st birthday.

Heavy workload is burdening me. A few projects are now my resposibility.

Posters designing, proposals writing, photos uploading etc. The dateline for everything is so near. It’s killing me slowly.

I wonder how am I gonna survive if I enter the real working world in future. >o<

I know this is not the 1st rojak post that I have posted, but nevermind la.

Rojak photo #1

Shot this on the highway during my trip back from Pahang. It’s a long distance, so I had my camera with me, shooting non-stop at the clouds, the skies and the cars. Then I had this photo, with all 3 elements I mentioned just now.

Rojak photo #2

The same trip as the previous photo, but this time this was shot at the PLKN camp in Pahang that my sister went to during her national service stint. I was wandering around the camp as it was PLKN Camp Open Day. Armed with my newly-acquired 50mm lense, I snap up, down, left, right. This photo is in my pile of photos but it sure did attract my attention due to its composition. That’s why this is up here right now. XD

Rojak photo #3

Another product-type shot that I took with my DIY product shoot set up. These are just some of the coins I have, all consists of 1 cents & 5 cents coins. Going to add this into my stock photo account soon.

Edited the curves in LAB colour, tweaked the levels slightly to make the background whiter & slight sharpened.

Rojak photo #4

This was my 2nd visit to Chinatown, Petaling Street. I was travelling around that area, looking for old & famous places/landmarks that my boss told me about, as we will be bringing students to Petaling Street soon. This is the entrance of a famous building, a temple-cum-bookstore (traditional one), but I don’t know the English/BM name, I just knew it in Mandarin.

Edited the curves in LAB colour, slight sharpened & cropped & cropped.

This shot was taken during the recently concluded 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament in my college, and the panning effect wasn’t done with Photoshop.

This was really an accidental shot that I got, albeit from hundreds of photos taken during that event.

Had my final paper on Tuesday and was studying very hard for this particular subject because it was the toughest one.

Then went to 4 secondary schools in 3 days for education fair and career talk.
1 in Kepong & 3 in Negeri Sembilan and had to wake at 5.30 am for the Negeri Sembilan trip.

However, it’s an eye opening one, as I’ve never been to Bahau and Rantau district of Negeri Sembilan (not to forgot, I’m earning some pocket money too. XD)

Anyway, this is just another random update.
I have been surfing and reading websites that teach vintage style photoshop effects, but never really try it out.
So, my first try on this effect.

Photo was shot during my trip to Pahang, when I went to visit my sister at her PLKN camp.

The day the first paper of my final examination starts.

I got hooked up on Rubik’s cube about one month back, but hangat-hangat tahi ayam, it was collecting dust in a corner after playing with it for 2 weeks. One day I saw the cube again and somehow I have a feeling of doing a shoot for it. Hehe

Constructed my own DIY product shoot set-up.

Photo shot with Nikon D40 + 50mm, 10 secs @ f/16 and ISO 200, with an off-camera flash fired manually 3 times during the long exposure.

Cropped, sharpen, added saturation and glowing effect in Picasa 3.

Going to flip through my notes one more time, then jump into my bed for a good night sleep.
